CEFR Level
CEFR is an acronym that stand for Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
CEFR levels are a method for describing language ability.
The following table describes the CEFR levels:
Proficiency
C1 skills
Can easily understand almost everything they see and hear
Can express themselves fluently and spontaneously with precision in complex situations
C1Advanced
B2 Skills
Can understand wide range of long, complex texts
Can interact and express themselves fluently and spontaneously
Can use language effectively in social, academic, and professional situations
B2Upper Intermediate
B1 skills
Can understand main ideas of complex text
Can interact with some fluency and communicate easily
Can write clear, detailed text on wide range of topics and express their opinion
B1Intermediate
A2 skills
Can understand familiar topics
Can communicate while traveling in an English-speaking area
Can write simple text on familiar topics
A2Pre-Intermediate
A1 skills
Interact in simple and direct changes of information
Describe things around them
Describe things they need
A1Elementary
Communicate using everyday expressions and very basic phrases
Can introduce themselves
Ask and answer simple questions about personal details
